Things that make me laugh - Phillip, The Hyper-Hypo Kid

This is probably my favourite comedy sketch of all time. I often find myself having "hyper hypo" days, and if anyone wondered where I got the term from....this is it, the genius of Mike Myers (Nicole Kidman is pretty funny too)

The countdown has begun

Well, as much as I try and deny it, I leave for Australia in less than 2 months!! Am I ready to leave!? definitely not. I am completely overwhelmed with the amount of things that I need to do, and the lack of time to do it.

For anyone who doesn't know, teacher's college is NOT CHEAP....therefore I'm working 12 hr days from now until Xmas to pay for it. My days all blend into one, as I work 9-4 as a receptionist at an Investment firm, then 4:30-9:15 at the LCBO .

This is my 3rd Christmas at the LCBO, and I am still blown away by how much money people spend! $5000 on wine?! I asked the guy where the party was, but he quickly informed me that it was for his own personal collection...ummm...ok! Does he need help drinking it?! If so, I'm his girl! The next day there was a man that bought 3 bottles of Dom Perignon = $600, and he paid me in hundreds, just threw them down on the counter like they were pennies....and did he have an airmiles card?! NOPE!...it would almost be worth getting fired to scan my own card for those points!

The worst however, are the big spenders that come in 5 mins before closing!!! These types are usually a couple, they come in at 8:45pm , run around the store with a cart each, throwing in bottles of everything...a la supermarket sweep. Then they come to my cash at 9:00....after the announcement has been made that the store is closed, and they rack up a bill of anywhere between $500-$1000. They will then proceed to tell me that I am packing the bottles in the boxes the wrong way!...do it yourself then! I want to go home!! GRRRRRR...

I digress.....back to my original reason for this post: Australia. I've been looking at flights, and they are not cheap!!! Since I'm flying to Perth, on the west coast, it's much pricier than flying into Sydney. I have managed to find two flight options that are both equally appealing, since they both offer 2 free stopovers to and from Perth.

Option 1: Singapore airlines with a stop in San Fransisco, Singapore then Perth
Option 2: Cathay Pacific Airways with a stop in Hong Kong, then Perth, and an optional stopover in Bangkok

I think I'm going go go with #2, since I have my heart set on going back to Bangkok either on my way to or from Oz.....
